ENTSO-E has released a new Position Paper on Vendor Agnostic Solutions

ENTSO-E has released a new Position Paper on Vendor Agnostic Solutions (VAS) for Next-Generation Control Room Eco-Systems, outlining the vision for modular, interoperable control centre eco-systems that address the growing complexity of European power systems and the limitations of legacy SCADA/EMS infrastructures.

Elia Group and MCCS welcome the strong message from ENTSO-E, the association representing 40 electricity transmission system operators (TSOs) from 36 countries across Europe. MCCS – the Modular Control Centre Software – is founded on the belief that the future energy ecosystem will require an open market for flexible, modular software solutions. This market, significantly larger than today’s, will bring together both established vendors and new entrants, enabling all to meet the increasingly complex demands of future control room software.
